AI Workplace (M365) & Microsoft Purview Senior Engineer

BearingPoint is looking for an experienced AI Workplace & Microsoft Purview Senior Engineer to help clients adopt AI securely and effectively across the Microsoft ecosystem. This is a client-facing consulting role focused on Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Copilot, data security, governance, and modern workplace transformation.

What you will do

• Lead Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, governance, and implementation engagements for clients.
• Design and deploy capabilities such as sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, audit, and other Purview controls.
• Support secure AI workplace adoption by identifying oversharing risks, improving data governance, and defining practical guardrails for Copilot.
• Run workshops with client stakeholders, translate technical requirements into business outcomes, and produce high-quality project deliverables.
• Work across the wider Microsoft stack including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune, and adjacent security services.

What we are looking for

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Purview experience across information protection, DLP, retention, records management, audit, and compliance.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, governance, implementation, or secure adoption programmes.
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills, including workshops, stakeholder engagement, and solution design.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 core services and adjacent security technologies such as Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and SharePoint.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly in business language.

Desirable

• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as SC-400, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, or MS-102.
• Experience in consulting or professional services.
• PowerShell, Power Platform, or Copilot Studio governance experience.
